PROPAGATION / WINDOWS
A Windows utility for reviewing propagation indicators and reported activity near a home grid. The goal is a practical overview that does not disguise missing data as a closed band.
Capabilities and intended workflow
| Area | Details |
|---|---|
| Coverage choices | General-coverage view as well as a target-grid mode for focused path assessment. |
| Bands | 6 m, 2 m, 1.25 m and 70 cm are principal VHF/UHF interests. |
| Activity and conditions | Source freshness/status, modeled possibilities and reported signals should be labeled separately. |
| Space weather | Kp and relevant space-weather context; local weather and pressure trends are under development. |
| User controls | Manual four-character grid selection, UTC/local time, refresh, and printable recent results. |
Engineering and operator notes
Source availability is a known limitation. PSK Reporter and weather services can fail or rate-limit requests; a failed feed must appear as unknown, not as proof that no band opening exists.
Availability and setup
Windows portable and installer workflows have been tested in project iterations, but do not infer the availability of a particular public version. A production download will carry exact OS requirements and field-test notes.
When released, the Downloads page → will show the exact version, platform, change log, manual and SHA-256 file checksum. No unverified download button is displayed.
