PATH PLANNING / WINDOWS
A propagation and destination-planning concept designed around geographical targets, seasonal timing, and intelligible explanations of why a path might work.
Capabilities and intended workflow
| Area | Details |
|---|---|
| Locations | Grid squares and named locations, with manual adjustment when a geocoding result is uncertain. |
| Paths | Great-circle direction, regional/seasonal comparisons, and low-angle operating interests. |
| Environmental context | Solar-cycle context and gray-line visual references for HF planning. |
| Workflow | Save an analysis, compare target windows, and distinguish estimated conditions from verified QSOs. |
| Interfaces | Windows-native window layout; no rig control is required for the concept. |
Engineering and operator notes
Propagation forecasts are probabilistic. Grid-centroid calculations, coarse terrain and source coverage are not substitutes for a measured on-air path.
